Pictures, sorry for the month of silence

Finished the tour alive. Sorry for no posting for…well… pretty much the whole thing. You hit a rhythm and days only have so many hours - didn’t really have much time to reflect and post on this thing. I can always answer emails though, so be sure to send those whenever you like. Went all up and down the east coast after going as far out as Colorado. Capped the leg off with two shows at Bonnaroo. That was pretty neat, as we were parked right next to Phil and Radiohead’s busses. Next tour is a short one - two shows in Ohio, then Indy (on the day of the US Grand Prix nonetheless, second only to the Indy 500 as the largest event annually at the Speedway), and Milwaukee for Summerfest.

The last show I took pictures at was Red Rocks. Here are those:

Denver. I hear there are things to do there when you’re dead.

It’s hard to capture how big the bluffs on the sides of the venue are. Those are people down in the seats, though, to give you a frame of reference.

7000 people or so.

The band. Please do note it’s very hard to take a good picture from behind the stage, since the lights are bright and in your face.

Coolest thing about Red Rocks - there is an underground bunker beneath the stage and seats, where there are showers, laundry, catering, production office, and all sorts of things of that nature. There is also a narrow canyon (pictured above) between this compound and the Front of House booth, where the sound and lighting is controlled from. This canyon is autographed by every band/crew that plays the venue. Note John Mellencamp’s autograph in the lower left hand corner.

Back on the road tomorrow.
